I ended up going to the Secret Service Department to turn in the counterfeit money. I met a lady and she was were very nice.
She looked at all the bills (18 of them)...and said they were definitely counterfeit. She said that they did not even feel like real money.
Sadly for me... I could not tell that much of a difference. If I had been blind, I would have probably spent them, without having a clue.
It was the same serial numbers, and the discoloration on some of the bills, that convinced me.
After they counted the money, they gave me a receipt for the contraband. They also got my p.o. box mailing address; but never asked for my phone number. So I guess...they will take it from here.
I did tell them where I found it, and the approximate time.
I also went back to the store, and told them what I found, and that I turned it over to the Secret Service. That way...if they try to contact them for any reason, they will know what they were talking about.

Good for you for doing the right thing!
Did they give you a reward for turning in the counterfeit?

Would be funny if that store had some links with those fake bills. We would never know, right?

You did the right thing by turning it over to them. I hope they figure out where they came from.

It's nice to hear that there are still a few people like you who are honest. God bless.
