Talk about the saying "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" Pun not intended. A woman in New York City who lives in the Carroll Gardens apartment had her bicycle stolen when the bicycle was outside her residence on a weekend.
The woman left the sign that asked for the person who stole her bicycle that was with a lock and a front wheel to return the bicycle because she really needed it more than the thief who stole the bicycle.
The response from the community in New York City was great since a gentleman named Michael brought a bicycle that he found on the street to the woman who had her bicycle stolen as an act of goodwill,
What happened after the sign was on the property with the permission of the landlord was that one man who is an art dealer who bought the sign for $200 so she could buy a used bicycle to replace the bicycle she lost.
This story is so amazing that there are people who assisted one person who lost her bicycle. Out of the kindness of their hearts, they helped the woman who lost her bicycle that was tied down at the time of the robbery assist her by getting her a replacement bicycle.

That is really great, and I wish we would hear more of those stories. Some people are really selfless, like those who give organs to people they don't even know. I hope their is a special place in heaven for them!

That is true since a lot of people are willing to help others without an expectation of a reward.

That is very good of them. Good neighbors. I know once here in LA they stole from a charity and the charity said they stole all the money for the kids Christmas presents and left a sign like that and the thief or thieves returned the money with an apology note. So I guess the sign thing works sometimes.
