Diet Coke Zesty Blood Orange

There are some products that you see advertised that yo know you are never going to get the chance to try out. That's what I thought about this flavored version of Diet Coke. Thanks to Wal Mart and their “free shipping over $35.00” I was about to order an eight pack of 12 ounce (tall) cans. It arrived today and I was eager to try it out but I knew it would have the best taste when refrigerated. It has a peculiar taste to it; you can taste the Diet Coke but once you swallow a gulp or two you taste the orange flavoring. I am not going to lie, the orange flavor needs to be stronger to really set this apart from other sodas. The way it is formulated now you'd be better off peeling an orange, removing the seeds from two sections and tossing them in your glass. While it doesn't have the strong orange flavor I hoped for, it is refreshing when served ice cold. I like that they are in the twelve ounce tall cans because you can fit them into a smaller space in the fridge or lunch kit. If you love Diet Coke this is worth trying but so far the only way I have seen it packaged is in the 8 pack. Image: Me
