Please house , what advice will you give to a father who insisted tha his child must study medcine , but the child chooses singing as a career and not the medicine of his father. The father now said if he should go on music line, he will disown him as his child.

A father can't disown his children, at least not in my country.

@oluseg1039 The son has to live his life, not his father's life. I wouldn't want to go to a doctor who hates his job!

I cannot give advice to a family that might have all the children following in the parents footsteps. What I think here is different than what people in other countries do. Many countries have their own ways and habits and expect their children to have the same. I live in the USA and believe that every child has the right to make their own decisions as long as they are not harmful to themselves.

Exactly, just that some parents are not seeing it that way, they want to satisfy themselves, due to the fact that they have been to teaching hospitals and have seeing student doctors in their uniform.

I don't think so.. as you must choose things according to your son interest, you have to make your own career not father.
