What would be some excellent events to have at a community room to draw tenants?

Are you talking about an open house?
That is where potential tenants can come in and find out more about the property, the property owners, and maybe view a few units. :-)

No, this is for tenants who live here and want to have fun with their neighbors at the complex.

@MsBooklover In my former apartment complex the property managers would hold a catered meet and greet in the lobby of the building. All tenants were invited to come and meet each other, invite some guests and have delicious food ranging from pizza, snacks, vegetable plates, desserts and other appetizers, coffee, tea and soda. They would have this twice a year. The food was paid for by the owners. :-)

have tournaments for the kids, like scrabble, monopoly, pokemon, maybe a video game tourney also.
for the adults, its trickier, scheduling and personalities get in the way. i think its best to find out what the tenants like by talking with them when you see them for a couple of minutes and for the office personal to also start some small talk with them also. hosting things like a super bowl party, or a ppv could be an option.
