I swear; someone just take a gun and shoot me. Yesterday; all day, I had no phone service. The computer was working but that was it. I did an email chat with the phone company and they said they would send someone out today. I had to go to town for a 20 minute meeting and when I got home there was a note on the door from the phone company saying, "We have found and corrected your reported problem. UH-NO.
Still no phone service so I had to email chat AGAIN and they said they would send somebody out again. No sooner than we got done with that 'chat'; the computer goes down too. Are you kidding me?
The computer was down for 2 hours and the landline came back up; HOWEVER, the portable phones still say, "No line or line in use." Seriously? How is that possible? This is the second month in a row that this garbage is happening.
I'd like to know where the CEO of Windstream Telecommunications lives. Ya know what I mean?

Do you have another option for internet service or phone service? My internet was down for a couple hours yesterday.

I can for the phone but not the internet service @thislittlepennyearns . Windstream is the only service that will do both and to have Hughes Net strictly do the internet service; they are very expensive. Otherwise I could bundle my phone and TV service with Dish.

Yup, I do. Not with that particular company but with my local service provider. For what they charge the service sucks! :-(

And it's ridiculous @Starmaiden . I did find out from a tech that the CEO of Windstream refuses to buy new equipment but instead just wants to 'upgrade' the current equipment. Well, that ain't working is it!! Poor baby. I guess he needs that brand new Yacht doesn't he!!!!!

The 2 tech's showed up and sure enough, it was the wiring under the house @amadeo ; it had shorted out. Now if the buzzards had bothered to do that before, I would have had the problem resolved the last 2 times I called about it.

Yeah, I found out that instead of bringing in 'new' equipment, they would rather try to 'upgrade' the 100-year-old equipment. Gee, poor CEO wouldn't be able to buy his next Yacht would he @sol_cee .

It is finally fixed @Courtlynn . The tech's actually showed up at the house instead of up at the road at the pole to resolve the problem. Now why that wasn't done before I'll never know.

Yes they do and that ticks me off even more @jstory07 . The CEO refuses to buy new equipment and instead is trying to just 'update' the current, OLD equipment.

That company is asking for trouble, leaving their customers hanging without any service! It's no wonder you're frustrated, I'd be also:(
