Fantasy Friday - the Time Machine / myLot

It's Fantasy Friday again, time to let your imagination run riot. Today we have been given a time machine, but it can only go backwards. What era of the past are you going to visit, and why? I would like to visit the ancient civilization of Egypt under the Pharaohs. We can read in history something of what life was like for the people at the top, but I would like to see what it was like for the ordinary people.

We only get to visit one era? Not an easy choice but I'm going to say the 1920's. Socially and technologically, things were moving so fast that it's irresistible to me. If I get to use the time machine more than once, I will eventually get to ancient Egypt. For a lot of reasons but mostly, I want to see how the Pyramids were built.

Wow!! me I would like to go back to the medieval times of swords, Vikings and things like those. It would be a pleasure for me as I love those kinds of movies and not to mention the books!!

I guess you could bring anything you like, but a camera would be a really good idea for a start. It would also be fun to take some 21st century gadgets back - they could strike awe into the people back in that era. Why do I like the era of the Pharaohs? It's just an era that has always fascinated me. They achieved some amazing feats, but we know so little about the way of life at the time.

@lynnief I would like to go back even further to what time period exactly I'm not sure. I think I will want something to protect me just in case. I have a theory and would like to test it. "The dino's are not what the movies depicted at all. They are not going to eat me. Some I think want to be left alone. I'm not going to try to wallow in the mud pond and try to pat them. Tomorrow I'm going into the campsite where early man is. I'll try to learn their lanquage." "You Tarzan me Jane. Hello baby!"
