The nature of us ... looking for our higher power.

The nature of us, is to aspire to a higher power, and with the bright sun shining in the sky above us, does this not inspire us? When we look across the ocean at a beach and see the rising sun, do we not feel as if the world was a gift? It is the nature of us to aspire to become more than what we are. When you look up at the birds in flight, do you not long to fly? And when baby cries, do we not want to hold that baby and comfort him? These are all the things that are born into us. It is not the same as pointing at a place called heaven or looking in to the face of god. when you see smoke rising from a funeral burning, do we not feel as if the smoke is the spirit? And when we look at the clouds, do we see images that remind us of angels, flying high up there so far far away? One thing is for sure for me only, from my standpoint, that The essence of the holy spirit lives within me and can not be seen but only felt. It is the emotion that we are given as a gift, to feel a certain warmth and contentedness that can not be measured, seen or scientifically proven. the Gods of the universe or the God of this world or the innocent child can be realized without having to open any book. There is a definite awareness of God's presence in me. I feel it, like a super force, that keeps me in line, and drives me to do what is considered kind and gentle like the butterfly or the wind that blows over the trees and the silent whispers of a far away person, maybe singing or maybe praying. If you stop to listen in the night, when the world is asleep, you can hear the wind. God is like that. You can feel him in nature. At least, I do.
