Today I learned there are caterpillars who camouflage themselves as bird droppings.
On one hand, that's a pretty solid strategy to avoid getting eaten, 'cause who wants to eat poop? On the other hand... Well, let's just say it's a good thing their butterfly form is appealing enough to make up for that mess.
