I'm getting desperate to give my small garden a new look

My garden looks so boring. Garden supposed to be a place to relax with its beautiful color and arrangement of plants.. But i was not successful to make my garden like that. So yesterday i got a lot of different plants. Some are flowering plants. Some are non flowering ones. Some have red leaves on top. Some have colorful leaves and others have white flower. Having a small garden, i think i had enough plants to add my garden. Anyway i did some googling of landscaping pictures to give me some ideas how to do landscaping of very small garden. It's not easy for me as I'm not an expert and just trying to learn. I have already started to do some landscaping. I tried to imagine how i will like it to be. Tomorrow i would continue to finish it. The one i finished today is an improvement but not something to be proud of but at least I'm tad happy with it than what it was before. I compared my landscaping to what i see online, it's still not that close. And It's not easy to decide where to place each plant. Whether on the front yard or side yard. Sometimes i thought i liked my arrangement till I will change my mind and arrange them again. Only when I'm fully decided where to place them will i take them out of their temporary plastic bag and plant them. Tomorrow i will plant all flowering plants on the side yard. Because it's where it's close to my bedroom window. So I will have some flowers to see when I look out of my window. I actually want something i can be proud and that would please my eyes. It's quite difficult though given the fact it's a small garden. There's not much space i can work with to do like what I have seen online.
