As I mentioned with the “big” song, I’m not throwing any curve balls today in my look at songs with the words “big” and “little” in the titles. As I move over to the “little” side of the countdown, the only shock will probably that this song is only #2. No, honestly, I’m feeling fine. Here’s the song.
#2: Have a Little Faith in Me - John Hiatt
It’s not just me: I have friends who used this song as their wedding song. A most outstanding song to use. (Personally, I think it’s too late for me to get married, but if I do I’ll come down the aisle to “I Knew the Bride When She Used to Rock and Roll,” Dave Edmunds’ version.)
I hope John Hiatt never writes an autobiography. It won’t sound as good as the autobiographical songs he’s given us over the past 45 years. This song is a beautiful expression of love by a man who had a tremendous amount of heartbreak in his life (an early divorce, then his second wife committed suicide) but knew when he found love.
Hiatt has said that all of his love songs are inspired by his wife. What a woman she must be.

Are you feeling OK. Nothing wrong with 2 prefer it because one always makes life harder than it needs to be.

"I Knew the Bride" would be awesome! Hell, it would almost be worth getting married just to use it!
