Got any liars or traitors in your family or circle of friends? I guess everyone has them. They can cut you to the core and break your heart. It is easy to sink into sadness or become angry. When that happens, though, they control you. I have been there. Sadly, most people are self-seeking and cruel. But there are those that come into are lives that bring the sunshine. They make your day better. Focus on those, and be forever grateful for them. Cherish them and give back to them. Feel the pain that comes from those that betray you, but not for too long. Let them go and embrace those who are loyal and loving.

I don't like to dwell on the negative things in my life. I prefer to keep a positive attitude even when others try to bring me down.

Yes, I had a friend who always brought the sunshine in for me as we were growing up, but sadly she became one of those liars down the road. We parted ways as friends after over 50 yrs of friendship as sisters, but I can't have someone like that in my life. I miss the friendship we used to have but not the lying and deceit.

I have been in similar situations. We can't control others choices. I wish I could figure out what makes people change and begin to live totally out of character. We can't make their decisions. All we can do is insure we make right choices and we protect our lives from other's toxicity.

Yes my son is the most terrible liar. I tell him he insults my intelligence by thinking I would even believe some of the rubbish he comes out with.

@gnatsmom I think lying becomes a way of life for them. They don't even care if people don't believe them.
