The Curious Mind

I have those times when I thought of these questions:
1. According to the written bible, mankind originated from Adam and Eve. If this is the case, then why are our physical attributes different from each other? Genetically, if we came from one source (combination of Adam and Eve's genes) then we should be, atleast, have similarities in terms of physical attributes.
2. I once worked in an island resort and on the way to the resort I need to travel 45 minutes by car. So, everything is green. Given that I am not well knowledgeable in nature stuff, I was curious if the original color of sand is red? Because that's the color I saw there.
What about you? Any questions/thoughts like these?

Those were good statements. Also, I was now well aware about how rock formation affects the color of the sand.
