Favorite "Of" Bands #4 - Kitchens of Distinction

Hang on, we're rolling, as a Colorado Springs bus driver likes to say. We are at #4 in my countdown of my favorite bands with "of" in their name: Kitchens of Distinction.
Kitchens of Distinction are an alternative rock band that formed in Tooting, England, in 1986, and after a 16 year hiatus, are still at it. The trio consists of vocalist/bassist Patrick Fitzgerald, guitarist Julian Swales, and drummer/percussionist Daniel Goodwin. The band managed four studio albums before breaking up in 1996, and have released one more since reforming in 2012.
(Fun Fact: Fitzgerald was a medical doctor prior to joining the band.)
The story that I read years ago is that the group broke up mainly out of frustration, due to the British press focusing more on Fitzgerald's openly gay lifestyle and lyrics than they did the music (he formed a band called "Fruit" after leaving.) Hell, the band had to personally ask John Peel if they could appear on his show, rather than the other way around.
But the music is what's important, and man, have they released some great music. If you like bands with swirling guitars, odds are you'll dig these guys!
