She got very little time for this crime. The question is, why did she do this? Doesn't she understand the nature of her job?
A former 911 operator who hung up the phone thousands of times on people attempting to call in emergencies in Harris County, Texas has been sentenced to jail time.

That's really a tough one to call. Her job is to take emergency calls and dispatch the proper emergency department. The only complaintant was a man who called "911" to report a crime. He spotted two vehicles breaking the law, but where was the "emergency"? There wasn't one. This woman wasn't going to dispatch police on a wild goose chase when there are "real" emergencies that could use their assistance.
I think those who make the calls to 911 should discern more clearly what is an emergency and what isn't.

She ignored thousands of calls. I am sure most were legit.
