Cats are Therapeutic

It has been said that cats can be a source of therapy. What do you think? For me, I have found it to be true. Some studies show that cats contribute to weight loss, lower stress levels, and lower risk of heart attack. It has also been said that cats contribute to lower risks of heart disease and stroke. Plus they are just cuties. I feel blessed to be a cat owner. Currently, I only have one, but hope to get another soon.

I totally agree with you and I also include any animal we have as pets. I have been a cat owner for most of my life and at times I have had a number of them at once along with 2 or 3 dogs. Now being retired I do not have any pets because we drive up north from Florida to visit our kids and grandsons. It isn't right to have others watch my pets or put them in a kennel.

I understand. We went on a vacation to NY many years ago. We had, what we thought, was a friend take care of our 3 dogs and 2 cats for the week. When we got back, we only had 2 dogs. He said he didn't know what happened to the others. So we don't go off very often. The only way we go is if my (now grown) daughter can watch them or my sister.

They are so great when you get home from work or wherever. They love us no matter what.
