Dear friends,
I have mentioned earlier in a discussion about the closure of the bank account. The bank account closed, we used to get the subsidy amount from gas cylinder refilling (Here while delivering Gas cylinder they charged a particular price then some amount giving back to us later through bank. Still I don’t know what the advantage of the same charging extra is and return it later through bank). After closing the account I visited the another bank to link the Gas agency for getting subsidy. They asked us to delink the Aadhar from the bank (where we have active account) then link again so the money will come automatically to the bank.
I visited for the purpose and the staff seated there has zero knowledge about the same. He delinked the Aadhar then asked me to wait for one day to link again. Next day I visited again, then got another staff in the same counter, he took the copy ofAadhar and asked me to visit next day to know the status. Next day on visit he told, I will do it today. Again two days after I visited the bank and learnt that the Aadhar is updated with the account. However, the subsidy money for refilling gas cylinder not credited to bank. On asking to the gas agency they told it is pending as our bank is not connected properly. I again visited the branch luckily the manager who was passing near asked me, what I want. I told him briefly about the problem, he told me they have no option to connect the bank for gas subsidy they do it connect with Aadhar and it has done also. He opened the computer infront of me to show the same there he found Aadhar was not linked properly. He become silent and asked me wait for some time outside. Then he took the passbook and gone inside, did it correctly. The very next day I got the money in bank.
What I learnt, the staff earlier was in the counter has no knowledge how to link the Aadhar properly. It is my luck that day the particular counter staff was not seated and manager seen me waiting there.
Sorry for the long discussion.
How do you get the Gas cylinders at home? Do you use the gas-pipeline instead of cylinders?

I think they have given some time limitations and it is over. I am not sure whether the time limitation is over or not. It is easy to link the same, just give a photocopy of the same mentioning your bank account number on it along with the mobile number. If you have net banking then you can do the same by yourself, depending on the bank where you have an account.

Nice to know that you have got your Adhar card likned with your new bank account and also with your gas connection. That is really a tedious job and I am happy to know that you have done it successfully.
Now coming to your point, Why the subsidy is getting transferred into our accounts from the Gas Agencies?
Have you ever faced shortage of Gas supply in the past? We used to have several times. And after linking gthe Aadhar Cards there is no shortage of Gas supply. Why?
Because the Gas agency people used to have hundreds and thousands of fake gas connections with them and they used to sell those cylinders allotted to those fake connections in black thus earning premium of black money plus the subsidy for themselves.
Now with the linking of Aadhar Card they can't do any mischief as the subsidy has to reach to the end user that is the consumer and they are getting the number of cylinders equaling the number of actual connections with them. So there is no more black marketing. though they may be having few fake accounts on the names of the people who are known to them but that can't be in very high number!
Hope I am clear here about your doubt? Thanks dear @Sreekala!

I agree with the point linking with Aadhar, government can avoid the fake connections. Why they are taking more money and transferring the same later to bank. Here it is not still cleared. They can charge the money required. Sorry if I am so stupid

@Sreekala , because in long run the Government is going to stop the subsidy and by that time we will get habituated of paying the whole amount and we won't shout about it in protest! Today we pay full amount to the Government and hardly check if the subsidy amount reached our account or not! That means we are tuned to pay the full amount and one fine day this subsidy will be stopped!

@AKRao24 So that is the trick.
I agree, we just don't bother about the money comes in our bank or not. Usually I tells my hubby, since I pay the money for gas cylinders the subsidy money belongs to me (as the money goes to his bank account, gas connection is on his name). But after telling this I too forgot about this, of course I told this as a joke.
