What do you spend the most money on? Rent? Food? Utilities? or Something Else?

I know what I spend mine on. Rent! And my rent just went up a lot more than I expected. I am very stressed over this. You have to remember that I was supposed to get married and not be paying rent...but be in a new home....or sharing the rent. That is not happening now. It is difficult to be a single woman with a lot of responsibility and not be able to drive. I want to be self-sufficient. I want to work from home. Yes, I am exhausted.

My money goes to bills. My rent went up forty dollars a month, which shocked me. I live by myself, with a dog. There is nothing extra.

I totally understand. My rent went up, too. If I take the 12 month plan, it goes up 55 dollars. There was a time when if I did not sell anything online, I couldn't buy food...but still there is nothing left.

@enlightenedpsych2 Section 8 is very hard to get, and many times it is high crime area. I don't drive. What I need is a roommate I can trust.

My biggest spending is my parent's upkeep then followed by insurance, daily expenses and savings.

I didn't know you were planning to marry that loser. Sorry, from what you said about him, that's how I see him. Yes, it is hard to be single. Rent takes the lion's share of my income as well.

There was a time when I was planning on marrying him. Things just got worse and worse. I started questioning so much...and then he left me...which is OK because it is for the best. I am lonely....but it is better to be alone than to be with someone who does not sincerely love you. Anyway, yes, the rent is the big taker. I try not to use the heat, and it is so cold.

Thankfully my home is fully paid up but then I am now retired. Food, utilities, transport are the main components of my expenses now - siva

I spent most money on my daughter's education. She studies in a private school. It will cost me much.

I don't spend my money on those, my hubby pays them. I spend most on my daily meals when I am working

I spend my money more on utilities and on bills like water bill, electricity bill. Then I spend on dresses and foot wears.
