... But It's O.K. When I Do It

Good morning/day fellow mylotters. Up early this morning as the hubby is off to work and I have something weighing heavy on my mind, so I thought I would share it with my mylot friends as you don't personally know the person I am going to "rant" about! Yesterday, we received word that my hubby's grandma (step grandma) passed away. That would make her the step mom of the mother-in-law (my hubby's "biological" mom) who the mother-in-law never had anything nice to say about her. Any time the grandma was mentioned, the mother-in-law would always have something bad to say about her. After people were being notified, she gets on FaceBook, sharing other people's personal pictures and for people to pray for her step-mom and that she hoped every one had been notified. Now, first off she pretty much hated her step mom. Secondly, she always hated it when people never comes to visit her, but they will show up at her funeral and say how much they miss her. In fact that is exactly what she is doing to her step mom. Thirdly, I think it is wrong to use some one else's memories of the time that they spent with this lady as if she was there and that she really misses her. Last but not least, if she thought NOT all of the family was notified, FaceBook isn't the place to be notified (maybe through messenger, but not for the family members who were NOT notified.) I'm sure I'm NOT the only one who knows the mother-in-law that will probably think and know how she really felt about her step mom. It's sad that people criticize other people of NOT being there or visiting some one when they're alive, but when they pass on they say how much they will miss them. However, it's o.k. for them to do the say thing they are criticizing other people of doing. Maybe I'm just being petty, but I just was upset as well as the hubby of all of this. I would like to ask for prayers from mylotters for the family in their grief.
