Is it fair to consider the possibility that Democracy may be collapsing in America?

Think for a moment, and ask yourself, what defines democracy? Is it freedom of being an arrogant self centered denier? Are we moving forward toward a better life for Americans or are we just going around in circles and getting nowhere fast? Yep. I guess we do in fact live in a democracy of sorts but is the current model the right fit?
If partisan polarization continues to intensify, checks and balances will not save us.

Even a democracy can have conflicting values. As evidence to this is all over the internet from many sources. The basic virtue of democracy is just that, being diverse in ideas yet mutual in it's common purpose.

We seem to be losing more and more freedom.
