My eldest daughter has been growing her hair for several years now. It was long and thick. Taking care of it was taking a toll. I finally convinced her to get it cut. She wanted a trim, but I bribed her with pink streaks to go for something a little more drastic. She still has a good amount of hair left, but we cut off enough to donate to a charity who will use it for wigs for cancer patients.

You'll have to send me a picture. My granddaughter is growing her's for the same reason. Last years unfortunate incident with scissors on the school bus was a bit of a set back,
