Giving importance to ‘convenience’ than ‘health’

Dear friends, I was watching a cooking video. I have the habit of going through comments on that video. There I read some one’s comment, please avoid non-stick cook ware as it is not good. The reply of that comments was, it is convenient in cooking (with non-stick utensils) , otherwise it will be sticky while cooking. The first one commented again, a small child got cancer and died and the doctor said the utensils we are using for cooking is also a reason for getting cancer. She further replied, I understand the concern but it is not applicable in our life, I am looking for my convenience. There I felt this way, do we giving importance to the convenience than our health? Yes, I too read the ‘aluminum’ utensils are not good for cooking. Some suggested that do not preserve the food in aluminum utensil after cooking. It helps to some extent. Pressure cooker is unavoidable in our busy life. In that case, we can follow this method, not to preserve food in pressure cooker. When I was small, my mother used earthen pots for cooking, mostly. But gradually she too changed her cooking style and grabbed all the utensils came in our door steps (House to house selling is very common in our place). Is it time for restoring the old fashioned cooking style? What about you? What type of utensils you used in your kitchen?

I really don't know if there any problem with the fuel we use for cooking. The utensils create some problems.

Really there would always be different opinions. It depends on you how you would want to react about it. We use both non-stick and aluminum cookware at home. Doesn't seem to have any problem so I guess both are okay

I too use both at home. However, I heard about the problems on using aluminium while cooking especially the sour things. Salt also can do something bad with aluminium.

@weevee18 Some chemical reactions. However, if we change the utensil soon after cooking, it will help. We can preserve in a steel bowl or glass bowl.
