I wonder if ... there are websites that are designed for bartering or trading online.

It has always been a matter of luck when I see an item for sale at a local thrift store, or yard sale that is exactly what I need or want. But the idea of there possibly being a site online, that offers trade-ups through a simple barter system. Here below is the definition of such a thing, as opposed to buying and selling items. The name of one website I like to take a look at is called Barter Only. Check it out.
Barter stuff, items and services. Trade for Need, Trade for Profit, Trade for Fun. Trade It at BarterOnly.com

I have never heard of this site. But I know of Offer up or Facebook Market (personally never used it before) but it's for locally.

@infatuatedbby , I prefer a billion dollars cash myself. Yep. At least to hold me over until I reach retirement.

I prefer to trade for cash rather than barter.

I once was offered a few bucks for a guitar amp and it was not the best trade for me.

How about this from the Rolling Stone online, about bartering in Oregon.

I haven't witnessed Barter but we studied it in accounting classes. It's kind of interesting how you gonna measure the value when you exchange an item.

It's based on mutual consent. If I had a hammer, and traded it for a bag of nails, it might be considered a fair trade. But it would have to be agreed on first before the exchange would take place.

@lookatdesktop Yes, there should be mutual agreement it wouldn't be fair if I exchange it only for one nail only.

That would be interesting. It is like exchanging something for another. I wonder if we still have bartering now. Would the world be a better place to live in?

Well, making use of things that otherwise go to a landfill is a win-win situation for the earth. At least in the short term.

@lookatdesktop You are right, Anthony. But it would be nice to have that kind of trading for a change.

Hope the best for you brother, can see you a good person and try to live right. I get a bit agitated at these sites that exploit that even though they are just doing what every else does. Hope they realize that, they have someone who gives a crap.
