Have you ever Tried To Fix a thing, But It Ended Up Just Making It Worse?

I Guess sometimes there is a situation in which we are required or we think that we should do something in that on our own, even if we are not good at fixing things in the home or in the office or at any other place. And that thing could be anything like A calculator, or a Computer LOL or even a Printer 
A few months back, I saw some trouble in the 3 in 1 Printer, scanner, and copier which is in my custody so to say in office and i saw some issues with it and checked YouTube and sorted out that.
But After about 2 hours it was down again LOL and then we call the support from outside and it costed around 60 dollars to fix 
What About You? Have you ever Tried To Fix a thing, But It Ended Up Just Making It Worse? Please Share

I have done this at times but you want to know what's most frustrating is when something's not working and clearly not working, when you call in the expert someone who knows what they're doing all of a sudden the same problem you've been seeing when they arrived and they're looking at the screen or whatever it is that you're trying to fix it's gone! Has this ever happened to you?

Haha yeah it does happen a lot but I guess we should try capturing the photos to show them
