What Struck Your Mind When You Hear about "South Africa" ?

South Africa is one of my favorite country and the reason is Cricket, Even they have people there that follow cricket madly and especially there ladies love there cricket and its a fun place. Beaches are wonderful and people are so friendly.
We have few members from South Africa here on mylot and i hope they will share more great stories about this great Country.

I was able to visit South Africa in 2010 with my son and he was toddler. I was pregnant with my daughter at 18 weeks duration. We flew from London to Cape Town and our flight had fog problems to deal with. I loved seeing the beach near Simons Town with the penguins. Near there we looked at Scratch Patch with had lots of colourful crystals. The bus took us to a poor township that I won't ever forget. The beaches looked amazing along the coastline. We went on buses to along to the Garden Route which was very picturesque.

I've only learned recently about South Africa Though You tube and to my surprised it was completely different from the known Africa and it's other countries over there.
