Because my last camera was "destroyed" when I left it out in the rain all night, the next camera I bought (I made sure that it) was waterproof! The camera that I have now is a Fujifilm XP that is waterproof up to 50 ft. and shockproof up to 5.8 feet (which is good 'cause I'm a klutz). 
Today when I was out shopping there was this neat fountain in a mall area. The fountain had clay (?) "sculptures" stuck to the fountain walls under the water, so of course, I tried to take photos of a couple. The one above was the only one that turned out (I only had time to try to take two).
I've stuck my arm in fish tanks and such too in the attempt to get an "underwater" photo.

As you have a waterproof camera, you can try to make underwater photos.
