Smell-o-vision and perfume ads on TV

Sometimes, I wish we could have smell - o - vision. But until they can transmit smells via TV waves we are stuck with those cheesy - at - best perfume ads.
I suppose there isn't really another way to get across what something smells like - so those perfumeries must rely on images and/or celebrities to make you feel like you need to buy it.
But everyone realizes that simply splashing on some scent won't make you rich, famous, powerful or desirable.
Even the so called "Phermones" scents seem to do nothing when trying to attract a romantic interest.
Another question: Do the celebrities who have scents - choose what it smells like? Or do they put there name's on an exsisting scent? (Examples of celebrities that have their own fragarences include Britney Spears, Beyonce, Paris Hilton, many others)
Well, I guess smell-o-vision could be annoying anyway. Think of the food ads.
What scent(s) do you like to wear?
Men, take note.... a nice smelling man is attractive indeed.

@FayeHazel I have a slew of perfumes that were gifts or that I bought. Love Hermes L'Orange Vert. It's light and pretty. You'd like it and of course, those Bond New York #9. They are all scents of New York. Riverside Drive is my favorite and I'm certain they will give you samples.

@DianneN Oh cool! Samples are a great idea. Sometimes scents change when I weae them. The L'Orange Vert sounds lovely. I like light scents as well

Ah now I am curious! I hope I can go somewhere that will allow me to smell that Bond #9.
Nothing wrong with a signature scent. :-)
My everyday go to are a handful of the bath and bodyworks scents
My "expensive" scent is Dior's Hypnotic Poison.

Makes you wonder doesn`t it? I once watched how they made perfumes and its basic is nothing more that the oils of the flowers, or making a scented water.
I wear nothing right now because Tony having lung cancer he cannot stand to smell perfume, he said it takes his breath.

Oh I totally understand how Tony might be more sensitive right now.
It would be interesting to see how the scents are made
