One of those groups that, for some reason, people put 'The' in front of their name. This also happens with Eagles all the time. 'The' Carpenters are the people you call to fix the woodwork. This is simply: Carpenters - The Singles/1969-1973
"Superstar" written in 1969 by Bonnie Bramlett and Leon Russell was recorded by the Carpenters for their LP, Carpenters. It was released a single on August 1...

@JohnRoberts This actually made me laugh so hard. I love this song but can you imagine being trapped in a room for several days and hearing "We've only just begun to live...." lol. Okay, I shouldn't be laughing to that.It makes it funnier that you replied to someone with the username "Four Walls" with that comment. I'm assuming that was on purpose? lol.

It's funny I have a couple vinyls of theirs and no matter how many times I see Carpenters I can't help but say The Carpenters it sounds weird to say, I love Carpenters! Because to me it sounds like I'm saying I love men that do my woodwork, but if I say I love THE Carpenters. It sounds to me like there is only one Carpenters and it's THE Carpenters that I love. Because you put THE in front of something or someone when you are talking about the one and only whatever it may be. It's just more comfortable for me to say even though it's wrong. lol. It's the same with Eagles. It's funny to say I love Eagles to someone who doesn't know the band or out of the blue. Unless the words Eagles was written with a capitalized letter and not spoken, I would assume you were talking about the bird! lol.
