I fear I might end up alone

I'm not an easy person to handle that's for sure. I get moody and I can get angry even the most calm person without putting up too much of a struggle. and because I got hurt and disappointed so many times I tend to put a wall between me and the world. I can say that there are few people who know the real me. but what I fear the most is that I'm going to end up alone. I'm almost 30, in a relationship that doesn't bring me much joy and with little perspective of improvemnt

I thought I would be afraid but it is 18 years that I am alone and I look at the positive side of things. I keep busy, look after myself and do the things I like. I thank God for his hep!

@swissheart Maybe things are what we make of them. Be the best you can be and if you end up alone then you will be happy because it is a choice that you made.
I knew a woman that lived to be 108 and she never married. Yet, her life was an inspiration by the way she used her life and the good that she did. The fact that she was alone was not a factor that she ever spoke about as far as I know.

Don't rush, when the time is right you will meet the right person. You seem to know what your bad points are so you need to work on changing those and the right person will come along and help you with that when its time. You are still young, the right person will come when your not looking for them.

I gave up looking but the fact is that I stick to a relationship that doesn't bring me happiness for fear I might end up alone

@swissheart Never stay in a relationship that brings no happiness, find one that does because thats all we have in the world. You deserve to be happy with whom you are with otherwise there is no reason for the relationship.

No one wants to be alone. At 53 I am alone. I have never been married. I love being in my own company and am content in my aloneness. I stopped seeking companionship years ago and discovered myself instead.
