Do you name your plants?

We have a tree in our back yard and I named it Matilda. I don’t know why, it just looks like a Matilda to me. Then my husband planted two lilac bushes in our yard and he figured I would name them too. He planted them as a surprise and didn’t tell me, but brought it up by asking “What are their names?” I didn’t know what he was talking about and I wasn’t in the mood for guessing games, so I just said “Bob and Lilly?” He laughed and said “Oh, is that the names of your lilac bushes?” I said “What Lilac bushes?” Then he showed them to me, so I said “Hello Bob and Lilly!” And that’s their names to this day. Last year he planted 5 rose bushes for me. I named them after some of my Italian ancestors I found on Ancestry: Leonarda, Concetta, Francesca, Rosalia, and Maddalena.
