It is good to be polite

Have you ever gotten into a shop and asked for assistance in a rude way? Or have you ever answered a customer in a rude way? Either side you are wrong. If you are the customer, the shopkeeper will not serve you well. If you are the shopkeeper, the customer will go away. So it is good to be polite.

It's always better to be polite. However, there are times it may be impossible but you should try to be rude in a civil manner. It's called the witty comeback or clever insult.

I always try to be polite to other people. I always think "what if I am in their position, what would I feel?"

I am always polite as I don't want to hurt anyone. But the opposite has happened to me. I met rude shopkeepers. I try to avoid that shop now.
