slow paced, relaxing, friendly, forever summer, beaches,cheap clothes, soda in bags, flip flops, scooters whipping between traffic, people crammed onto jeepneys like sardines, street kids asking for money, nuns grocery shopping, chickens wandering around the neighborhood, concrete as far as the eye can see, heat, hurricanes, never ending construction, people in malls handing out new condo brochures, street vendors selling everything from shoe repair services to squid
