I know, I know... stories about grandkids, right?
I'm going to tell it anyway.
My two youngest granddaughters were here with their daddy a few days ago. We had eaten lunch and the kids wanted a treat, so they got the candy jar out and the older one got hers. She handed the jar to her daddy so he could help the little one, who wanted something different.
Her daddy said, "You get the same as your sister got." To which she replied: "But she already ate it!"
Second story, same day: As they were getting ready to go, they were talking about going to a friend's house later that day. Daddy said, "By the way, you kids are going over there without me and Mom." The oldest looked at him and said "But we can't drive!" And she was serious.
Practical minds? Or....?

Wasn't there an old tv show hosted by Art linkletter, "Kid's say the darndest things"? We chalk it up to their innocence but it's refreshing to look at the world through their eyes. The responds of your granddaughters is what in adulthood would be called a clever comeback.
