Hateful and lashing out

The other day I wrote about how I told my best friend I was done due to her wanting everything 100% for her and not having a 50/50 friendship. I’d left the opening in what I told her that if she got it together in the future to get with me and we’d talk. Well she has made sure that has now been revoked. All day today, she’s been posting nasty stuff on Facebook about me. Other than writing here - only two people knew about the situation from me and they were people who wouldn’t gossip about it. My fiancé was one and a friend/coworker was the other. That friend ethically couldn’t talk about it to anyone we know due to the confidentiality rules we have to keep (to protect my now former friend, not me). My fiancé works out of town and has no reason to talk with anyone but me. The former friend has decided to rant all over the internet though, call me all sorts of nasty names, and just stoop to new lows. One of those new lows? Bringing an innocent child into this and attacking her! The child is the 14 year old daughter of the friend/coworker, and the former best friend has never liked the child - though the child never did anything to her. Being friends with me kept her from ever lashing out but now she is terrorizing the kid on social media with slurs against her sexuality amongst other things. If she keeps it up, she will be lucky if all that happens is the police at her door for her harassing a minor. More likely the kid’s pissed off mom will be at her door.
