Four of our puppies have the shaggy looks. Jordan, Paris, Darna, and Zeus have shaggy fur. I like to brush their furs but most of the time, they lie down supine. They expose their abdomens so I have to talk nicely to them so they will stand or side-lie.
Sometimes, their fur gets some tangles and it is hard to keep their hair untangled. Their eyes are also covered and when they pant with their tongues out, you might think they are stuffed toys.
My sister wants to buy this razor for dogs. She said it is nicer to keep our dogs ‘bald’ so their fur will grow better again. I disagreed. I said we should keep the dogs with their fur; we do not know if the fur will grow back after the shaving.
We do not bring the dogs for grooming. If we will every week, for sure our wallets will be drained.

Yes. As much as I would love to. I do not think I can. Me and my kids have skin asthma. There was a time my son cuddle a dog and after a few minutes he had red rash all over his body. And one more thing, I do not know how to take care of them, I might not give them the proper care for them. Maybe when my kids grow a bit older. I want a pug.

Of course a furry dog gone bald will look funny especially if it is only the head and the tail that have fur. I understand you don't have a dog yet, right?

@rakski oh, i am so sorry. but there are dogs who have no long fur, an example isthe chihuahua. also cats, some are bald. yes too, skin rashes can go further to generalized allergies that can spread systemically and anaphylactic shock should be controlled.

Yes,for me they are cute but they are unruly sometimes. They have this shampoo and soap for bath but it is the brushing after bath that gives me more time to do. Once brushed it looks good but when the fur dries up the tangles return.

@ridingbet maybe when they grow up then the fur will not be that unruly. How old are they now? I remember you posting about them last year

A little trim will be better for the pups.

Actually, shaving dogs is not really recommended.. they dogs fur actually insulates them from the heat and when shaved they become hotter than should. But a trim of the long hair might be helpful.. when dog grooming, it is usually recommended to cut the hairs every 6 weeks.

I agree. That is why I will have to wait if my sister will continue to buy this razor to trim their fur
