Ten days ago 94 year old Boca Raton resident Alice Modine was driving her auto on a road during a thunderstorm when she decided to pull over and let the storm pass.
What happened next was that Alice's Toyota Corolla went over the curb and the auto went into a lake near the Boca Raton Suites Hotel.
Fabio Franca, 46, of Deerfield Beach was driving nearby when he saw the auto get into the lake.
Fabio and his oldest son who is 17 years of age called 911 to inform the authorities what happened. Fabio's youngest son stood inside the auto.
When Fabio arrived at the scene of the accident, he managed to open the door and get Alice out of the auto with water up to her chest. Fabio carried her out of the lake until medical assistance arrived.
Alice did not have a chance to thank Fabio until Sunday when Fabio had a chance to meet Alice thanks to the granddaughter of Alice making the time where they could meet at the home of Alice.
To put it mildly, both Fabio, his wife and son were happy to meet the woman he saved since according to Fabio, it could have been his relative that needed help.

Fabio like heroes have this attitude of saving a life is really important than being a bystander.

Fabio admitted that he was there after an appointment with his son was delayed 15 minutes.
