When a movie like The Crow is released it shakes the indy scene – with not only a great soundtrack, theatrical score and story / film – it was something that the younger gunge generation could identify with. There have been tons of stories about the movie set being haunted / cursed – some of them being handed down from his fathers [Bruce Lee] generation. He died one year before The Crow was released at the age of 28. In addition to Lee's death, there were four other main actors that died as well as accidents that couldn't be explained away. If you know about the recurring dreams that Bruce Lee had while teaching Jeet Kun Do to anyone that wanted to learn – including Americans. Brandon mentioned the dreams he had to his mother Linda and she told him some of the non-published stories that Bruce shared with her. While the Lee family openly denied that the family was cursed, others couldn't help but see the obvious. While there have been a few remakes or continuations of The Crow, none of them have been able to fully capture what Brandon Lee brought to the screen. When it was announced that Hawaiian heartthrob Jason Momoa would be playing Eric Draven I was intrigued. I started watching him when he was on one of the Stargate series but didn't know much about him. He did some small press releases about the movie but ultimately he backed out of it due to time constraints with other, more solid offers. Some of the things that have happened on the various Crow sets include unexplained accidents, prop malfunctions, (later) low box office takes and horrible reviews, accidents outside the film set, accidents and deaths involving close relates of the stars and of course the Brandon / Bruce Lee similarity to how they died.
