Friday Evening and Storm plus Rain

So after a number of very hot days and increasing humidity, blowing winds promise to get the Mercury down.
Just 15 minutes or so ago, the storm started- it is not lethal but we can hear lot of noises. And lights have gone off. It might rain. I wonder when we will have the infrastructure to withstand storms and rains and still no power off.
Or am I asking for utopia?

In residential societies we have big generators as power backup.
Yet in individual homes we have to depend on our own invertors or generators.

@AKRao24 Still managing for 7 to 8 hours without power and with lesser number of lights/fans is tough.

We have power cuts sometimes during hot hot daytime may be when too many individual houses and commercial establishments are running very ACs.

I love rainy days. But not storm. And I don't like the situation wherein it is already raining hard with wind blowing outside then suddenly the electricity supply shuts off too.

I little storm at my place too but no power cuts. Sun is shining high so little hope for rain in a couple of days.
