Care to share your skin care?

I am insearch of ways and products to take care of my skin deep within. I am 35 and the radiance of my skin is gradually fading. It is easy to read articles, blogs and all those tricks and tips to bring back the youthful glow. But I wanted to hear it from real people like you guys here. Not from a sponsored blog or article's of myths.

Unrefined, virgin coconut oil helps with skin. It nourishes skin and can diminish scarring from skin conditions. It may not get rid of it completely, but it helps nourish the skin. Getting away from any cleanser that was made with parabens in it would be good as well. I have used coconut oil on my skin and have enjoyed the benefits of smooth, silky skin. I am in the process of making all of my body care product myself. Beeswax, cocoa butter and shea butter melted together (shea should be the last you melt) will make a really good lotion. Just pour in a jar and let it set.

Wow good for you that you can do all that. It will be more expensive to do it myself. I small bottle of essensial oil here already cost as much as 50ml of standard lotion.

@Friendlypink Oh wow that is a lot. Maybe you could learn to distill some oils from the plants themselves? I know some people do that. Some even use teas and get the benefits from them for things like soaps and lotions.

@Friendlypink Yes tea is so versatile and green tea seems to be the most popular one for skincare. I've heard of people making a green tea sugar scrub. My next project (though it will be awhile before I do it) will be a himalayan salt scrub.

I use only South Korean cosmetics, I have been trying many products, from very expensive to quite cheap. South Korean cosmetics and products for skin/hair care are the best for me. I prefer Tony Moly and some products from Face Shop. When I bought some products for my mother and my sister, they were shocked with the fast and superb effect. If you are not shy, you can find any South Korean shop in your city and ask a seller to give you some testers for free. They usually give many testers for their new products when you buy something, but I am sure that if you ask politely, they will give you some testers for free without any purchase. Testers are big enough to try the product for 2-3 times, and for this time, you will understand how good/not good enough the product is. But I think that you will like it, even such a big choosey like me love it. Hope my reply was helpful for you... anyway, good luck!

Here in Manila you are very lucky if you can get a tester for skin care. That is really the downside of cosmetics and skin careshops here.
