Unity in diversity, i miss that sentence on social media.

Recent days, I really miss the meaning of unity in diversity on my social media. Why? it is because when I open my facebook, I will see some sharing posting that include hate speech. It's not only hate speech about religion but also to president and some politicians. Actually, i feel tired and mad with people who share or post hate speech. Some of them are my friends, even my relatives. I ever comment something that means "come on guys, don't go over there. It's not our problem. Someone create this issue just to provoke us and divide us". Then, some of them said that I am Kafir (person who out from Islam), some of them said that Islam is terrorist, etc. Last month, there were suicide bombs in Surabaya. The officers said it is Islam radical's work. Honestly I do not believe it. Because the bombers are a family, they are a dad, a mom, two sons, and two daughter. In my country there is a quote, even though a lion is hungry, he will never eat his son. You know the meaning? My country is full of peace actually. Indonesian people do not like war or something radical. We love to live in peace and love. I hate to say that nowadays there are some people who want to make chaos in my country. They spread issue or hate speech just to provoke and divide my nation. There are some religion in Indonesia, we still live in peace actually. So sad that social media then become terrorist media to spread terror.

Indonesia has the largest Muslim population in the world. Almost 90% of the people belong to the Islam faith. This makes me wonder as to what you meant about "diversity"

No, Mam. Not almost 90% . Just come to Indonesia, there are 5 religions and many beliefs in Indonesia. Not only Islam, there are Christian, Hinduism, Buddhis, Kong Hu Cu, Tao, and LOCAL BELIEFS.

@josie_ Moreover please googling about local beliefs in Indonesian. You will know that there are many local beliefs in Indonesia. Discrimination against ethnic minorities of chinesse? Well, I think it is human envy. It depends of individual mindset. Most of chinesse are success in Indonesia.
