What Could Be The Reason That People Still prefer Facebook?

The fact that no one can earn directly from Facebook and there are all sort of complaints about privacy and other such things about Facebook, still most like to prefer Facebook over other apps or websites which let them chat and some even pay them a smaller amount to chat as well, Still most are behind Facebook and spend a lot of time daily on it, without considering these things and even if they consider that, still they don't stay away from Facebook for long as well.
What are your views about it? What Could Be The Reason That People Still prefer Facebook? Please Share.

I only use it to communicate with family. It is not my favorite site and I spend little time on it.

Everyone is preferring instagram over facebook these day. But people like facebook because that is the easiest way to stay in touch with friends and family. No one can call all their friends or hang out with them all the time, so it is good to see what they are doing.

On Facebook you can search for people you know. I found my half sister and half brother on facebook, and I keep in touch with them on there and I can see photos of their children that I never met in person.

I go to facebook to catch up with friends and see what I am missing in the world and answer posts I want to and go to some groups I belong to.

Facebook has the largest number of users and people are active there. It also gives opportunity to poke in life of others through shares on timeline which can be a reason.

I guess it is because of familiarity on the app and they are already comfortable using fb over other social media app or site.

@thesupersingh cause before when IG was new and like a big hit. I tried switching to that app. But if I will compare the response rate or the engagement of my friends it is still a bigger count when I use fb than IG.

In my view, friends, colleagues, relatives - their daily activities which they post, their feelings which they express through status updates. I do however find myself doing this much less often then I used to now that you mention it

Well some people publicize their offline or online ventures on Facebook. Then we also have influencer or affiliate marketing done via Facebook.

I think since almost everybody have a facebook account, it's easier to get in touch with other people that's why some people still prefers to use it.

I stay in touch with family and friends and people I went to College with. I also like to play Farmville. It is a Facebook game.
