It has been almost 4 years since my last confession and i am a bit, well very nervous actually. Some of my sins are quite private, but at least i know the priest won't judge me. I sure hope the confessionals have a cover or something so i can be less scared to face the priest. I think only Catholics go to confession, i am not sure though. have you done it?

i have my confessions during the Holy Week. so, do you confess your sins to the priest as in 'open confession' where you and the priest see each other face to face?

i was quite glad that there was some sort of barrier in that church, like what they normally have in the movies it was just one room but the priest got in the other side of the room so there is no way to actually see each other

@lady1993 I agree. My dad would regularly go to confession, but I opt to go to confession during the Holy Week.

It has been a long time that I had my confession with a priest. But I think it is best if we do it to ease from having sinned in this world.

@Shavkat same here, we did not have confessional boxes though, so you have to actually face the priest

The priest will not judge you. He is only a channel for the Lord's forgiveness. Once you confess, you will feel light and receive graces to live your life anew.

yeah i figured that, but i did not feel very light though since the priest just gave me the standard advice I'll just do my best to not commit the sins again

I am not religious or even Christian, but I do admire what people go through to well live more comfortably
