Her memory lives on...

I woke up to the news of Kate Spade's death this morning and it just saddens me, how someone who inspired the world with her creative designer bags, planners, jewelries, etc would end up hanging herself to death. And she was only 55 years old.
I don't know enough details on why she did it or what was going on her with life. I hardly even know the woman nor the face behind the name Kate Spade until her death. What could possibly made her end her life like that?
I am not brave enough to kill my own self. And if I would commit suicide, I would just probably overdose myself. Can't slit my wrist, blood freaks me out. Can't hang myself, I don't want to struggle slowly losing my breath.
In memory of Kate Spade, I decided to use my bag and jewellery from her brand.

Apparently, her husband filed for divorce and she was very depressed over it. I don't blame her, but I would never kill myself and let my daughter grow up motherless. I've bought a few of her bags when they came out, but gave them to my older daughter-in-law years ago. I wonder if she still has them.

I'm someone who could never kill myself as well because my family is my strength and the thought that they need me alive makes me want to live longer.
I think she was in a state of hopelessness and not being needed. I feel sorry for her for not being able to pull through.

@toniganzon It must have been to awful for her to feel so low to do that. I'm surprised no one noticed her depression and sought help for her. Way too young to go.

@DianneN Maybe she did try to but there was just nobody. The one thing I love being a Filipino is that we could talk to anybody about our problems, our neighbours, our cousins, our family, our friends. And they always have the time to listen. WE don't really need to isolate ourselves or have to pay someone just to listen to our problems.

What an awful way to go. I'm afraid of the pain of my neck being snapped. Sometimes hanging doesn't work due to not breaking the neck.

That's true and instead of instantly dying, you still have to struggle. And I can't imagine how her face look like when she was found. That could have been really creepy to see.

Maybe. But I'm sure her daughter and husband won't for awhile.

i was shocked, too. i know she revolutionized fashion by bringing bright colors to it. some news items hinted at marital and financial issues. her daughter is only 13.
is that a necklace or bracelet? i like it.

It's a necklace. You couldn't see that on my wrist in the photo and it's hanging on my neck actually.

Those who aren't really into fashion wouldn't know her. She's a designer and her bags are considered a little bit on the high end price point but more affordable than LV and Gucci.

We can only view success, from the outside of a person's life. The real lady on the inside of her body, was somebody else.

Indeed. Nobody truly knows what goes on in a person's mind. She was bipolar.

@toniganzon Grief and pain on the inside, are very easily kept hidden, especially by actors and actresses.
