Hey toppers! Keep your talks up to you only!

Its seriously very frustrating! I passed my tenth grade national level secondary school examination with percentage of 81and I must tell you that I did everything that I could for crossing the level of 90 but unfortunately this year Central Board of Secondary Education of our country had a specified strict checking for the national capital Delhi which made my whole hardwork move to drain. I studied like an insane for 2yrs, made day and night as same, studied for 8hrs daily excluding school hours, kept my self away from TV ,fb and even from songs. I became like a human library. Studied and read everything but it really hurts when you see that your hardwork was not treated as it should be. When my results were declared, I was just crying with the tears of blood but every one in my family treated the result as good one for the while and the thing made me understand that 'no everything is going well, I did well'. But all the stuff was just an illusion as my mother said "I supposed that you will do well , so I even not tied a wish to God just on your pride but you not did the same." It really hurts when you hear such things from your mother who had seen you working day and night all the time. All this become more terrible and hurting when you hear sarcastic comments from the people who have not even seen you studing and targeting you indirectly such as surprising asking you questions which might take your some time and than if you fail to reply before their talks than you would be questioned "What you did all the year and what you studied?" And next day when you open news paper, you would find the long -long speeches and tips of great toppers mentioning that "I was much far away from TV fb and all so I scored well and others should also do the same." Such things make me think that 'what I did?' I did the same or somewhere more than them then why I am not at their place? All such things make you scratch your mind and the thing which comes out as a conclusion is that if the today's topper might not had been a topper then he or she might had been scolded for the things which they might even know. But today they are the toppers so they can say any thing as they wish and so that last night my father said that the one of the toppers had said that he kept himself away from TV and fb so he is successful. I too replied with the honest answer that I too did the same. But my great father who only meets me just in night and in early morning replied that I was involved in all these stuff. It really kills you from inside that the people who had seen you working day and night are now passing sarcastic comments to you with an indirect message that "You are failed!" So please toppers keep your talks up to you because there might be many people who might have done much hardwork than you.

There are views that keep saying that marks mean nothing these days but talents do. What talents do you have?

First of all very thank you for supporting me and responding to the discussion. And if I talk about my talents then it's gonna to be little bit hard for me as you can't talk about your talents by yourself. But as you said it to do so , I would tell you. I have written a novel "The Own Country" which is unpublished. I use to write articles and always imagine about a new story. I design cars and bicycles too. Also take part in debate and debate writting competitions. And highly interested in politics and study of administrative system.

Hi Yuvraj. Welcome to mylot. I am sorry that you have to bear all those comments. You know what, do not listen to them as long as you know you did your best. Nothing will change if they will just bicker around with whatever that comes to their heads. Ignore them.

I understand your frustrations. Just relax and be cool. This is not the end of your career and you scored 81 percent which is pretty good. Then if you are sure, you deserve more, then go for a revaluation. What I felt, 10th marks is only determines the 'stream' you get for higher studies (+2). But I guess you may get any stream as per your wish as you scored 81 percent.. So forget the frustrations, and concentrate more on next level. 12th is something worth to try and I am sure you will achieve those.
Your mother also felt disappointed that is why she reacted that way but she must be proud inside her mind.
After all, the performance on academic level will not determine your life anyway. It is a big fact.
Be happy and stay blessed.

I understand you my friend some people are really proud and arrogant that they tend to speak out harsh words without minding other people's feelings.
