I'll be working on the holidays

We will actually have 2 regular holidays next week but then the company does not treat it as mandatory, even though one of the holidays is The Independence Day. 
Anyway, on the bright side, maybe we'll be paid more and there will be less traffic going to work.

Happy Independence Day for you and the other people in the Philippines. American Independence Day is my birthday which is 4th July. Some people get paid double money for working on a bank holiday. I hope that after work you will have a happy and memorable time.

People work here on independence day too but its a federal holiday as well.
