children, parents

Children look up to parents for daily needs. But how many of us, parents have been able to provide most of our children's needs? Do you see why they grow so stubborn?

Maybe because they are too over pampered!

@anamika161088 Exactly. Giving in to what the children want does not help at all most especially if they do not deserve it.

Because they are being spoiled to the fact that even if children do not deserve something, parents give in. Wonder why children are so entitled too.

May be because some parents think that child should be given every luxury that they can afford and forgets the age and maturity level of child.

@anamika161088 that is the problem. They just give anything to their children even if it is not appropriate or deserving of them.

I think we need to provide necessary things to our children but not all demands we need to fulfill. If we keep on fulfilling all demands then children will go in bad direction.

@cosy2020; yes we need to strict sometimes. We should not provide everything which they ask. Need to hear from them and then decide and explain to them why it is not necessary for them

Provide all you need for their up bringing but you have to be strict to some extent.

Maybe because of poor parenting..

Children from rich families also cry. It's in every stage of a developing child.

I'm doing the best that I could to provide the needs of my child and teach her with the right manner.

No matter what you provide your child with. He/she must cry. It's in every developing child.

as my experienced, my son grew up to my moher and he became spoiled and stubborn. everytime i'm trying to discipline him, my mother is my number one enemy. she wants to protect his grandson.. and the result was not good.

Try make him live with you at least for six months. He will be a changed son you desire.

A parent can sacrifice and give their children many good things and the child can still rebel and end up a loser as an adult.

Stubborn behavior can come due to over pampering or due to some lack in fulfilling child's need both physically or at emotional level. Stubborn behavior during toddler age is normal as the child is developing his ego and independence. It has to be handled with care as to not damage his ego or to over pamper.
