The Great Blue Heron

Actually this is a slightly smaller bird than one I saw last week. but I was so close to him I was able to get very good images..and a lot of them.. even some video.
These birds are very tall and impressive to see but despite their impressive size, Great Blue Herons weigh only 5 to 6 pounds thanks in part to their hollow bones—a feature all birds share.

oh wow, you have herons with different colors. he, we have the ever-pure white and they fly so high especially when they migrate

@minx267 but i think those herons are bigger than the egrets that are here in the rice fields.
