Good noon on a Wednesday my fellow users of this site, how are you all? This lunch time, we had a visitor. It is the girl friend of my son, the one he also met yesterday at a coffee shop in a supermall in the city. The girl, R, called my son that she will have lunch here at home because their place has no electricity. It is their area’s schedule to have the power interruption. This lady is the girl that I (and my son ) drove home and later on came back to sleep in our house, and I made a discussion about this. She is a sweet lady and she also mentioned that she gave a letter of application in the school where I am employed as a part-time clinical instructor. No, she did not include me as a reference person. R opened up some of her concerns regarding her former job in a state university. I and my sister were all ears to listen to her, and we also gave some pieces of advice and suggestions. A few minutes ago, she and my son left to the city. It is not a date, but the lady just wants to stay out of her boarding house and have tea with my son in the coffee shop in the mall.

no, my son has 4 best girl friends. these ladies call my son 'bruh'. theirs is a 'low-maintenance-friendship' kind of relationship. but he secretly told me he bought a Seiko wrist watch and gave to a lady last Saturday. his eyes glow when he tells me (again and again) that the lady has pictures on Instagram wearing the watch.

@rakski my son has 3 male friends in high school; 1 a son of my cardiologist; 1 a son of another doctor here; the last one is the son of a friend of mine. my son is my only, so he does not have a sibling to relate to.

Nice to know about it dear friend! When you say Girl friend are they going to get engaged or married? I am not clear till the date how a girl friend is different from a fiancee and from a wife legally?

@AKRao24 a girl friend is a friend who is a girl.please take note that the girl is separated from the friend. but a girlfriend as like being in a relation with a girl; hence, girlfriend. when they both love each other and resort to be engaged, then they may call each other as fiance and fiancee.

That is why I separated the words girl and friend because R is a friend of my son who is a girl. If girlfriend, I believe this means she is committed to my son as his loved one. Fiancé is engaged to be married. Wife is the pair received the sacrament of matrimony.

what type of work is she applying for? wish her success. i guess it's better to know when power will be out than be caught unprepared.

like my son, she also wants to be a classroom instructor. she is a graduate of psychology and the school offered her a position as guidance counselor.
