Hello everyone. Who would have thought that I will only get 3 and a half hours sleep tonight? We go to bed early at 8:30pm because it is a school day today for both my kids. We slept around 9:30. And that means I need to wake up at 4:30am to prepare the kid's food for breakfast and snacks at school. But sleep did not cooperate with me and I woke up at 1:00am to go to the toilet. And when I go back to bed, sleep left me. I tried mylot for a while. At 3:30, when finally sleep is coming back, my son woke up at 4:00 declaring he has cough and colds and he will be absent today. Now he already has his breakfast and soon will change into his uniform. I hope to not aleep all throughout the day. Good luck to me. Happy day everyone!

You need to take a nap when the kids are at school. All the things could wait, I supposed. That was what I did when my child was still small.

@rakski so in other to avoid that, you have to force yourself to sleep some more. maybe even just laying in bed, eyes closed, just relaxing. sort of semi meditating.

Yes, good luck. I find it difficult to sleep during the day - too much noise - even if I did not sleep well during the night.

Hi Rakski. I think I have to prepare myself for those things when I become a mother in the near future.

No one can prepare us for motherhood but it is still the best and most rewarding experience.

@rakski Yes, I agree with you. Even if there are a lot of advice from friends and family, once it is there, it seems like "nangangapa ka" (struggling?)

It´s a short sleep time but it can be enough rest time for a day. I sometimes only sleep three hours and feel fine

4.30 am is very early for getting up for school. I rarely got up before 8am on school das though my school was a 15 minute walk from home

School here starts at 7am. The school bus will pick up my daughter 15 minutes before 6am. Because they still have to travel around 15-20 minutes without the traffic.

Is sleep even allowed when kids are involved? Haha my mom always complained of never sleeping more than 4 hours because she always wanted to be awake to see me off, and now it has stuck with her and she is still like that haha

Hi there. I do feel that you need to get some kind of rest, and like all other members have mentioned, to sleep when the kids are at school. If you find it hard to sleep for more than a few hours, try a few power naps of 15-20 minutes each time. It does help me whenever I feel so knackered. Hope it helps and good luck to you.
