We had a good supper last night: mussels soup (with garlic, ginger and moringai leaves), pinakbet (a mix of vegetables flavored with shrimp paste), and fried fish. After meals, my kids asked for yogurt smoothie. We've got lots of avocado and banana in the fruit basket and we just got our supply of Greek yogurt, so we thought it would be a good time to make something out of those.
My girls helped me slice the bananas, pour the yogurt and ice, plus the raw wild honey. The whirring sound of the blender was music to our ears. Everyone had 2 glasses of yogurt smoothie except for me.
Here's our simple recipe:
4 bananas, sliced
2 avocados, scooped
1 small tub of Greek yogurt
3 tablespoons of wild honey
a cup of ice cubes and
a cup of cold water
* Throw in everything into the blender and press the button. Blend to your satisfaction!
* You can use sugar and milk instead of yogurt and honey. My kids prefer the yogurt and honey so it's what we usually have.
* I'm using a photo from Pixabay because I wasn't able to take a photo of our smoothie last night. It was finished in less than 5 minutes.

I would like to try almond milk next time. We also sometimes soy milk in lieu of yogurt.

Sugar is always the last option for us.
